The After Dark disgracefully had it's license revoked by Reading Borough Council in June 2019. Many successful DJs and acts began their careers at the club and iconic nights have been held at the venue over the years (Checkpoint Charlie being just one). Following one isolated incident outside the club in 2018, in which no one was hurt, Thames Valley Police deemed the club a risk to public safety. Despite the current management of the club attempting to work with the Council to resolve noise complaints, it appears the Council don't want to listen! People of Reading or anyone who has ever visited the After Dark, please sign this petition in a bid to support the club's appeal to over turn the decision and keep this absolute monster of a venue alive and kicking.
