Disappointment

Hello, As some of you may be aware, the Council have agreed the proposals. We can expect the changes to start coming in from January next year. I'm so disappointed. Even with the 130 (or so) objections received for the latest meeting, they've ignored the voices of all of us in favour of making money. Thank you to every single one of you who has supported this petition and voiced your concerns. I'm just gutted that we couldn't have had a better outcome but it certainly feels like the Council have no respect for hospital staff or compassion for its patients and visitors. I have deep concerns over the financial implications for everyone involved. I know that I would not have been able to afford to visit my Dad every day when he was there as I gave up my job to spend the last few months with him and I'd hate to think that someone else is going to miss out on those precious moments or have the threat of a parking ticket hanging over their head. I have written a complaint to the Council and will then look at contacting the Ombudsman after that as I don't feel like the process has been a democratic or fair one. Please let me know your thoughts on this.
