This petition is to open-up the woodland area situated on Nire Road in Caversham for the local community to use.

The land is owned by Reading Borough Council and managed by its Parks Team. We have created a Nire Road Community Woodland committee to campaign with the Council to open-up this woodland area, to help fight against the current problem of fly-tipping and littering, and to create a green space within the community.

Our aim is to help the Council by keeping the land clean and tidy, and to create a  community space in the neighbourhood for walking/dog walking and enjoying nature and wildlife.

As a first step we have already secured the agreement of the Council to clear the fly-tipping and litter, and we hope you will support us with our further efforts in opening the woodland for the community to use.
