There has been an awful lot of support for the proposed Secure dog exercise area in the Readhead Park. At this stage ALL of the money has been raised by the community. On our recent community consultation it was 100% in favour of establishing the dog exercise area. But – unfortunately we still do not have the required permission from our council to go ahead – everything’s in place  - funding - contractors and the support from the community.

Currently we are awaiting clarification from South Tyneside Councils Cabinet and the relevant Lead Member on what reasoning there is for not giving the permission to allow works to go ahead – its approaching a year now since the funding was secured – still no resolution!

Can anyone who supports the dog exercise area, please sign the petition. This petition will be submitted to a South Tyneside Full Council meeting to show the support and demand from the community.
