Re-release The Monkees on Blu Ray

Re-release The Monkees on Blu Ray
Why this petition matters

Since reruns have been taken off the air, The Monkees TV show is available to watch in very limited formats. The restored HD episodes are only released sparingly on YouTube, and the only available versions of the Blu Rays can range from $600-1000. It doesn't seem to make sense why the people who spent so much time remastering these episodes have not made them more available and are missing out on potential profits. The show is timeless, and so many fans continue to express interest in owning these beautifully remastered episodes for a much more affordable price than the current secondhand prices. The YouTube video "The Monkees - The Complete TV Series Blu-ray (Unboxing Video With Micky Dolenz)" has over 11,000 views alone on the official Monkees YouTube channel with countless comments asking for a re-release.
We understand Rhino Records does not want to risk a colossal loss in sales again, but a much simpler packaging format re-release (as done with the DVDs in 2003) should not cause any issues like the packaging of the previous Blu Ray release. Monkees fans care more about what is inside anyway!
It would be a disservice to the Monkees and their legacy to withhold the show from the fans in its most beautiful format. Mike eloquently sings in Tapioca Tundra, "It cannot be a part of me, for now it's part of you." Unfortunately, most fans cannot even afford to own what has become a defining part of their lives. It is unjust to have to resort to outrageous resale prices to see the show at its best.
Help us show Rhino that there IS demand for this show and that we would gladly pay for it. Please share this petition amongst the Monkees community and hopefully we can make this happen!
