I would like the UK Government to consider reopening the former Great Central Main Line that ran from London Marylebone to Manchester Piccadilly.

I believe reopening the section of the line between Manchester Piccadilly and the London Marylebone has huge benefits, especially when it comes to improving public transport in all of the areas it will pass through.

I think the top authorities and County Councils should back this petition, because something needs to be done in order to reopen this railway line, and bring back trains to the areas it once served!

Trains are needed in the areas along the line, in order to reconnect this part of the country that hasn't had trains pass through it for 30 - 50  years!
