Governor Beshear, our plea is for you to look at John's unjust conviction and to reopen this case. He was harassed by Lexington police for months and his child's mother was threatened by detectives with deportation and separation from their daughter if she did not help them build a case against John.  Prosecutors used his U.S. Military training to "prove" he was "dangerous" and his legally-owned weapons were displayed in front of the jury during the trial even though they had nothing to do with the alleged crime and indeed were locked and stored. The evidence and testimonies that would have certainly exonerated John were not allowed to be presented. The jury was not educated about the long-term BDSM relationship between John and his accuser and John's PTSD and TBI that led him to be introduced into her dark world. When John cut off his relationship with the woman, she decided to take revenge. This decorated Army Ranger deserves a new trial!
