This year's Elections week at Goldsmiths' Student Union has been marked with devastating events. Multiple candidates were unlawfully removed from the race with no evidence of wrongdoing in favour of SU's internal hires. Conveniently, the banned candidates' campaigns were targeted towards holding the SU and the College accountable for their gross inaction regarding women's safety on campus. 

Last year has been tough for all female-identifying students, as instances of harassment, stalking, spiking, rape, and even gender-based murder in Goldsmiths. Sam's removal from Presidency, along with multiple other candidates', demonstrates enough evidence towards both the scope of the safeguarding issue and the overt SU's inaction towards it. We have compiled irrefutable screenshot evidence on an Instagram page previously used for the elections campaign, and  now a site for resistance against corruption within Goldsmiths Student Union: @sam4_president. Help us save this year's elections - sign this petition to re-open Goldsmiths SU nominations for Presidency in 2025. It’s not an election if there’s only one candidate.
