Rochester, NY has a population of around 210,000 people and has zero over night emergency vet offices open. Buffalo, NY has a population of around 280,000 people and has three over night emergency vet offices open. Veterinary Specialists and Emergency Services (VSES) is the only emergency vet office in Rochester and closed over nights in January of 2022. This change was supposed to only be for a short period of time to figure some things out and fix some issues but it is still going on. It has been closed at night for almost 7 months now. We need to get Rochester’s only emergency vet clinic open over nights again and running 24/7. Too many pets, animals, and families are suffering due to their decision to close down at night and only run operations from 6am - 10pm. We, as the Rochester community, need to take a stand and advocate for what we want and NEED. I recently had to watch my dog and family suffer due to VSES closing over night hours. I do not want my family, other families, or other pets/animals to have to go through this ever again. Please sign this petition and join in the first step of getting VSES back up and running 24/7.
