Re-open Quinton Police Station for a safer community

The Issue

My name is michael clarke and I am a resident of Quinton for 35 years. Since the shutdown of Quinton Police Station in 2013, the community has experienced a surge in crime including car thefts, burglaries, street crimes, antisocial behavior, drug-related incidents, and illegal motor vehicle racing. Consequently, residents have become fearful of leaving their homes and allowing their children to play outside.

In light of recent events, it has become increasingly crucial for the Quinton police station to recommence operations. This will greatly benefit the community by bolstering police presence and consequently curbing crime within the vicinity. Fostering a more profound relationship between the police force and the public is essential, as it will guarantee their safety, demonstrate unwavering commitment, and emphasize that these priorities take precedence.

The residents of Quinton are looking for answers from the local police regarding the recent drive-by shooting on Quinton Road West. The community feels that reopening the police station would be a step in the right direction to prevent these kinds of incidents from happening again. The residents want the police to be more proactive in providing safety for the community.

Update. I also feel that a community based building at the Old Police Station with the presence of police as a joint building would also benefit our community and its residence and support this wholeheartedly.
