I am a resident concerned by the recent removal of the four-way stop at 16th Ave W and Sand Creek Drive in Williston, ND. This decision, made by the City Of Williston, aimed to "improve traffic flow" on 16th Ave W. Instead, it has created a dangerous intersection that poses risks to drivers every day. 

With a 30 mph speed limit on 16th Ave W, the modified intersection now leaves road users vulnerable, unable to see incoming traffic clearly from the North due to the obstructive fence on the corner. During peak rush hour, exiting this now unprotected intersection becomes a daunting and unsafe task. Add winter and its icy conditions to the equation, the risk of accidents escalates to an alarming degree making this a hazardous situation for all.

These changes seem completely unnecessary and are now placing countless people in harm's way. Therefore, we are urging the City Of Williston to re-establish the four-way stop at the intersection of 16th Ave W and Sand Creek Drive immediately, ensuring the safety of residents and road users alike. The city’s priority should be the safety of its people, not simply improving traffic flow. Please consider our plea and prioritize safety over convenience.
