Wow! Off to a great start in the first 48hrs!

Over 300 signatures in 48 hours! It is a double-edged sword to read so many comments (between the petition and the website) describing how overuse and misuse of edtech is a problem in D97. Things are coalescing for us start effecting change. In addition to all the people volunteering to advocate and get involved via the ScreenSenseOakPark.org website, we are connecting with Smartphones on Hold Oak Park, as well as community organizers who have done this (Evanston) and are starting similar movements (Forest Park). People are writing letters and emails to building and district administrators, and to the school board, and even contacting the Wednesday Journal!  Thank you for helping this movement grow. Continue to amplify this message to key stakeholders in your school community. We have strength in numbers to improve learning for our students, teachers and families.
