Lionsgate is in the process of producing a live-action adaptation of Naruto, and I'm starting this petition to make sure this film is different from other Hollywood live-action adaptations by putting someone that is more knowledgable on and passionate about anime in a key creative position. I believe that Nik Shaw and his team at RE:Anime are the people necessary to make a good live-action movie of Naruto.

Anime has changed my life, and it's frustrating to see anime misrepresented in live-action adaptations. It turns our favorite shows into something that is not what has inspired so many, not to mention these remakes are whitewashed, further straying from the original story. I do not want this to happen since Naruto is dear to my heart. 

A small indie production company, RE:Anime, has shown us fans what live-action anime should feel and look like. They nail it every single time and on a shoestring budget. Their new "Naruto: Climbing Silver Series" is exactly what we, the fans, want. 

The creator (Nik Shaw) of RE:Anime, is extremely passionate about anime and loves Naruto with all of his heart. I think that Hollywood should listen to the fans and strive to bring the best adaption of the most inspirational animes of all time. 

RE:Anime not only adapts anime very well, but they cast Asian actors and even have predominately Asian crew members. Just speaking to the founder and seeing everyone work together on set, I feel their passion and support for bringing those in the Asian community on screen for major loved animes like Naruto.

We have the special and rare opportunity to work together and make Naruto live action so powerful. Naruto gave us so much hope and inspiration, and it's time to bring that back once more. We cannot let those who are not fans of anime ruin another anime adaptation for the fans, especially for Naruto. If you're with me, please speak up.  

Lionsgate, Summit, Arad Productions, and PICTURESTART - Please give RE:Anime a chance to pitch their ideas or help plan production. Naruto is so special to all of us, and they know exactly how to do it justice.
