As a local Kingston resident, I have - under the Local Audit and Accountability Act 2014 - asked Kingston Council's auditors, Grant Thornton, to issue a report in the Public Interest as a result of Kingston Council's vast spending in order to facilitate the demolition of The Kingfisher Leisure Centre and on its "plans" - now abandoned - for a replacement centre, which plans ultimately merely facilitated the Kingfisher's demolition, leaving us all without a swimming pool and leisure centre already for four years and for many years to come.
