The RBKC Pension Fund at 30.9.2023 had invested £18.4m in manufacturers of weapons and tech used in committing war crimes and crimes against humanity, including the use of white phosphorus in residential areas and the indiscriminate bombing of civilian infrastructure in Palestine and Lebanon, which have killed tens of thousands of civilians and threaten to drag the Middle East into a regional war.  In January, the ICJ issued provisional measures to prevent Israel from committing what it considered to be a ‘plausible genocide’. This ruling was followed by an advisory opinion in July which called for an end to Israel's military occupation of the West Bank, Gaza Strip and East Jerusalem, and was subsequently endorsed by a majority of states at the United Nations General Assembly in September. 

The RBKC Investment Committee is accordingly asked to conduct a full review of current investments and to withdraw funds from all weapons and tech companies complicit in Israel's illegal occupation and grave violations of international law.
