Since February 12, 2008 Donita Todd has been the VP/General Manager of WIS Television.  Over the years, different news anchors have come to Columbia and have used their talent to provide the citizens of Columbia and surrounding communities the news that effects this great community.  While many anchors have come to Columbia and won the hearts of many in the Midlands, many chose to move on to bigger markets are for personal reasons.

Throughout the years and through all the different faces there was always one reporter that viewers looked forward to watching and counted on.  Ben Hoover.  Although he never realized it nor did viewers, August, 2008 changed WIS TV forever.  Ben Hoover has the passion, heart and drive to bring the viewers the news that matters to them.  With over 10,000 supporters on one Facebook page to bring Ben Hoover back and several past and present colleagues stepping up to bat for him this should tell Raycom News the mistake they have made.

 Donita Todd has given us her perspective every week and has always been outspoken about her beliefs.  When do we, as viewers get to have our say? There is already a petition to bring Ben Hoover back but I am not sure that someone who walked miles to work in the snow and lived life as a homeless person in downtown Columbia for a week would want to come back and work for a company that is led by someone such as Donita Todd. 

 The time has come to let Raycom News know that with Donita Todd sitting as the General Manager of WIS TV they will lose ratings and there will be no going back.  You do not get rid of one of your best reporters without any warning and expect to gain the respect or support of the community.
