Even after last years outrage, the amount of raw sewage being dumped in Britain's rivers by the water companies has doubled. Choking the rivers, damaging the health of swimmers and surfers and killing wildlife.

This years crews at the University boat race have been advised not to enter the water because levels of the E. Coli. bacteria in the Thames are 3 times higher than those recommended as safe for swimmers by the Environment Agency.

We call upon the organizers of the Boat Race, and the crews of the boats, to make a powerful show of support for Britain's rivers and wildlife. Ideally by cancelling this years event, or at least sending a powerful message of condemnation to the water companies.
