MALLS PARA las PERSONAS, NO PARA los DELFINES!

Para Gicsa Company, La Isla Shopping Mall,

Ha llegado a nuestro conocimiento que tiene planeado construir un tanque para tres delfines en Puerto Vallarta previsto para apertura en Diciembre de 2016.

Nosotros, gente preocupada de todo el mundo, firmamos esta petición porque sabemos que mantener animales salvajes en un centro comercial es cuestionable por inhumano y porque tampoco presenta una gran oportunidad de negocio debido al alto coste que tiene mantener a estos animales con vida. Los delfines en particular no pueden mantenerse bien en cautividad ya que su extenso ambiente natural en el mar es imposible de imitar en tierra y no se pueden tener en condiciones de buena salud en cautividad.

Muchos países alrededor del mundo están terminando con esta manera victoriana de entretener a los clientes, prohibiendo los espectáculos con delfines y cerrando delfinarios. El dilema de estas instalaciones desfasadas será en el futuro, y ya hoy en día, que acabarán sin lugar donde recolocar a los animales, que seguramente se pondrán enfermos por los numerosos problemas de la cautividad, como el herpes genital. Estas enfermedades restarán cualquier posibilidad de realizar programas de nado o interacciones con delfines, lo que ocasionará grandes pérdidas al negocio.

Los clientes concienciados que tenga actualmente su centro, apreciarán y le felicitarán por proporcionarles entretenimiento sin animales. Realmente creemos que un tanque de delfines puede ser visto como algo muy negativo para la imagen de La Isla a nivel mundial. Le recomendamos firmemente que considere un uso alternativo para el espacio construido, sin delfines en cautividad.

MALLS FOR PEOPLE, NOT FOR DOLPHINS!

It has come to our attention that a dolphin tank for three dolphins is being planned in your new development in Puerto Vallarta planned to be opened in December 2016.

We, the concerned people world wide are signing this petition, because we know that keeping wild animals in a shopping mall is highly criticized for the inhumanness of it, and never a good business opportunity due to the high costs of maintaining the animals alive. Dolphins in particular are impossible to house in captivity due to their vast natural marine environment, impossible to copy on land and can never be maintained healthy in any captive situation.

Many countries around the world are moving away from this victorian way of entertaining quests by banning captive dolphins shows and closing down the facilities as unprofitable. Dilemma of these old facilities will be in the future, and is already today, that they will end up with no where to relocate the animals which will most likely become sick due to the numerous problems of captivity, such as genital herpes. These illnesses will also prevent any possible swim-with programmes or any other interactions with humans, therefor causing huge losses as a business endeavors.

The aware customers of today at your shopping mall would appreciate and congratulate entertainment with no live animals. We strongly believe that a planned dolphin tank will be seen as a very negative image of La Isla world wide. We strongly urge you to consider an alternative use for the constructed location without captive dolphins.
