Paid sick days for Raising Cane's employees.
The Issue
We are all human, no matter our age or situation, we all get eventually sick. I want to make a movement to have paid sick days added as a benefit allowed to employees of Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers. I have worked for and loved this company for over two years, but it's hard for my fellow employees and myself to be put in a position where we have to choose between going to work sick and making enough to pay the bills we need to. So many of my coworkers, including myself are supporting a family or going to school while working there and while it's dangerous to go to work ill, many don't have a choice because otherwise bills will be left unpaid. I am challenging Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers to change their attendance policy to include 6 or more paid sick days for their employees. to avoid abuse of the system employees would still be required to provide a doctor's note for days to be paid and the days would be limited like most corporations who provide them. We are hard-working and dedicated to spreading Cane's One Love. However, it's time for the One Love to be given to us, because whether you're part-time in school, or full time supporting a family, when you are sick you should be able to stay home worry-free.
