In order for the Yaak Valley grizzlies to survive, they need connectivity with the Yellowstone grizzly population to the south. It's crucial we protect the Yaak's 24 grizzlies by stopping poaching, high volume hiking trails, and logging projects.
The Beast of Our Time: Climate Change and Grizzly Bears is a new 28-minute documentary by Save the Yellowstone Grizzly which explores the relationship between grizzlies and climate change, and the importance of connectivity. The film is narrated by Academy Award winner Jeff Bridges and scored by pianist Bill Payne of Little Feat.
The film can be streamed now through April 10 at the Santa Barbara Film Festival and the International Wildlife Film Festival in Missoula, Montana the end of May. Watch the trailer on YouTube here: Trailer - The Beast of Our Time
The film, which features conversations with celebrated authors such as Terry Tempest Williams, Doug Peacock and Rick Bass, is both a dire warning and a compelling call to action to advocate for habitat protection, connectivity, tolerance, wildlife crossings, and room to roam.
The Beast of Our Time offers solutions and a vision for the grizzly, and a way for YOU to get involved. Join these people and others on a journey into the heart of the American West, and the last remnants of a once-great nation of grizzly bears.
