The Ebon Flintlock is a pistol variant in the very popular game Sea of Thieves.  The game was made by Rare, published by Xbox Game Studios, and is available on Xbox and PC through the Microsoft Store and Steam.

The Ebon Flintlock was previously made available on Mixer by watching Inside Xbox on March 22nd, 2018, or April 16th, 2019, by making a purchase at the Official Sea of Thieves online merchandise store on September 19th, 2018, and from Twitch Drops on March 1st 2020.

Sea of Thieves did not release on Steam until June 3rd 2020.  Thousands of players who started the game at that time have missed out on the chance to get this beautiful weapon skin.

Given that it has been offered up through various means three times before and that it wasn't an exclusive preorder bonus, an exclusive earned through an in-game event, or an exclusive packaged with a physical item I am requesting that it be brought back.

This would give the thousands of players who love your game but only began playing once it was released on Steam the chance to earn this weapon skin for the first time.  Not only that, but it would allow players to complete the weapon collection for that variant since the Obsidian Eye of Reach and Midnight Blunderbuss are still obtainable.

Whether it be a twitch drop again, a reward for making a purchase from the Official Sea of Thieves Merchandise Store, or sold in the Pirate Emporium, as long as people have a chance to claim this skin then I'm sure the community would be happy.

My personal proposal is that you offer the Ebon Flintlock on the Pirate Emporium with a portion of the proceeds going to a charity of your choice.  As a cancer survivor myself I'd recommend Stand Up To Cancer.

Thank you for your time and for reading/signing this petition.  I know there are serious issues and problems that are happening in the world and this may seem trivial but video games like Sea of Thieves offer an escape and can help many people relax and get away from the stresses of day to day life.  Not only that but in this time of isolation and loneliness it servers as a way to socialize, have fun with friends, and to not feel so alone while we face a still uncertain future and continued lockdowns.
