DLC characters arguably add more replay value and gameplay variety than even DLC campaigns.

Borderlands 2 and Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel had two DLC characters each. Gaige, Krieg, Tim and Aurelia were some of the most fun characters in their respective games. On top of their own unique play styles, each DLC character added exponentially to the range and depth of their game's potential team compositions.

If Borderlands 3 is to be the biggest Borderlands ever, it must revive this beloved tradition.
