The beloved Bloomsburg Fair in Pennsylvania has been a joy to the community for 165 years. While society has taken steps towards an inclusive, accepting environment for all, it seems that the Bloomsburg Fair (and the board members who oversee it) would benefit from DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) training. This training is necessary so that all members of the community are not only acknowledged at the fair, but also welcomed. 

In 2016 Nazi flags were flown at the Bloomsburg Fair, and it wasn't until this knowledge was spread widely that the fair called for the removal. Now, only 4 years later, the Bloomsburg Fair Facebook Page was caught making jokes about a public figure, Dr. Rachel Levine, via photos of a dunk tank with a man wearing a wig and dress. The caption of this post said, "Dr. Levine? Thank you you were a hit and raised a lot of money for the fire companies. Wonder why so many were trying to dunk you :). Thanks everyone that came out to support our local fire companies."

The goal for the Board to have an informative, beneficial training on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion is for these leaders to understand the damage that comes with staying silent while those in minority groups are used as pawns in a hate-filled community.
