Breastfeeding is, perhaps, the most important first step as a mother and for many, it is not an easy road. For many women, all you need is a little support - from specialists and sometimes from just other moms that have been through or are going through exactly the same thing. Most importantly, having a free and easily accessible resource is sometimes what makes or breaks a breastfeeding mom.

Southwest Healthcare System is planning to cut the funding for Rancho Springs Medical Center's Moms 2 Moms Breastfeeding Support Group, specifically not providing a lactation specialist to operate and/or run the group. Sandy Salgado, a long time breastfeeding and Rancho Springs advocate, will either be replaced or the group will no longer exist.

This petition is to ensure two things: A) That Sandy Salgado continues to be the lactation consultant that runs the Moms 2 Moms and continues to provide much needed free services and B) that the Moms 2 Moms Support Group is not cancelled.

By signing this petition, you are potentially helping a new or sometimes veteran Mother find her way in the breastfeeding world and provide her with professional help, as well as some much needed support of Moms in similar situations.
