We, the undersigned citizens of India, come together to express our profound concern and disappointment regarding the recent incident that transpired within the Indian Parliament involving Mr. Ramesh Bidhuri, an elected Member of Parliament (MP) representing the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), and Mr. Kunwar Danish Ali, an MP from the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP). The derogatory remarks made by Mr. Bidhuri towards Mr. Ali during a parliamentary session have deeply disturbed us and have raised questions about the sanctity of parliamentary decorum.

Parliament, as the apex democratic institution in our nation, holds a special place in our democracy. It is a platform where elected representatives engage in discussions, debates, and decision-making on issues that significantly impact our country. Therefore, it is of utmost importance that the proceedings within the Parliament are conducted with the highest levels of respect, courtesy, and decorum, regardless of political differences.

The derogatory remarks made by Mr. Bidhuri not only cast a shadow over the Parliament's reputation but also displayed a lack of civility that should be at the core of our democratic values. Such incidents set a distressing precedent and undermine the faith that the citizens of India place in their elected representatives.

We, the undersigned, make the following demands:

Transparent Investigation: We urge you to initiate a transparent and impartial investigation into the derogatory remarks made by Mr. Bidhuri towards Mr. Ali during the parliamentary session. The findings of this investigation should be made accessible to the public to ensure transparency and accountability.
Appropriate Disciplinary Action: If the investigation confirms the misconduct of Mr. Bidhuri, we request that appropriate disciplinary action, in accordance with parliamentary rules and codes of conduct, be taken against him. Such action should serve as a strong deterrent to prevent similar incidents in the future.
Promotion of Civility and Decorum: We recommend implementing measures to promote civility and decorum within the Indian Parliament. This may include providing training on parliamentary ethics and decorum to all members and establishing clear guidelines for respectful behavior during debates and discussions.
Public Awareness Campaigns: We suggest launching public awareness campaigns to emphasize the importance of respectful and constructive parliamentary proceedings. These campaigns can help citizens understand the significance of maintaining dignity within our democratic institutions.
We, the citizens of India, believe that our democracy flourishes when our elected representatives uphold the highest standards of conduct and decorum.
