Recently, we read in the news of another fatal crash on Highway 84 between Ferriday and Jonesville. Another head-on collision that could have been avoided if US 84 was a four-lane highway.

This two-lane road is highly traveled, and it is time for this road to become a four-lane highway.

Four lanes are an economic asset, and will increase traffic flow through our area. It will allow transport to our ports and be more efficient for our farmers and truck drivers. The four lanes would also be a safer hurricane evacuation route.

Below you will see there has been talk of plans for Interstate 14 to travel through here.
