Raleigh is an amazing emerging city and one of the only in the U.S. that doesn't allow food trucks to park in public parking spots. Food trucks are insanely popular right now and should be a consistent part of the downtown Raleigh lunch and dinner scene.

Why shouldn't local business owners and food truck owners to be able to obtain a permit to allow food trucks to park in public parking spots? We shouldn't have to to shut the entire street down to grab some delicious street fair.  A permit would still allow the Raleigh City Council to regulate the locations and occurrence of these local small businesses.
