RAL has at the last minute introduced a parking booking system just before the 2020 ski season. This lacks good faith in it's trading with customers who have LIFE, Season & Multi day passes that were brought in advance. In addition this also hinders public access to roads for other purposes e.g. Tramping tracks at Turoa. Finally this impacts local business as people are unlikely to want to book trips in advance now.

We are calling RAL to do the right thing and to stick to things like they were last season, if numbers must be limited then RAL can count people accessing the fields. This is not good for local business as visitors may choose to go to the South Island due to the increased uncertainty placed around accessing the mountain.  We are calling RAL to see common sense and axe this last minute change that does not operate in good faith for both customers & local businesses.
