Remove/rehome dog who was dragged behind motorized bike

The Issue

Abusing animals = losing animals; it's that simple.

Dragging a dog behind on a motorized bike to the point of bleeding and vomiting is NOT okay. Please be the voice they wish they had and help us have this dog removed and rehomed.

On June 10, 2021, a Kitchener ON (Canada) resident was reported and charged with animal cruelty after a local resident witnessed the man dragging his dog behind a motorized bike! The dog was in obvious distress, to the point of collapsing, vomiting and bleeding out from its paws all over the road.

After numerous attempts to stop the owner, the witness was able to confront the owner, who was oblivious to the dogs' present state and injuries. The owner showed no remorse whatsoever and simply stated he was "teaching his dog how to run."

The witness informed the owner that what he had done to this poor innocent dog was, in fact, animal cruelty and that she would be taking the dog immediately for medical treatment. She offered to take his personal information to follow up with him.

The owner refused to give up the dog at first, eventually releasing the dog's leash. The witness carried the dog to her car, as the dog was not able to walk. The witness was followed to her home by the dog owner, where he kept asking her why she had taken his dog, as he had not done anything wrong. The witness contacted the local police and PAWS (Provincial Animal Rights Services) to obtain legal rights to keep the dog in her possession and have him medically treated. Unfortunately, that was not the end result. Instead, the witness was forced to return the dog to the man who inflicted these injuries on this poor innocent dog.

The community that this dog currently resides in is outraged to know that the owner still has this dog. We have genuine concerns for the dog's safety and well-being. If a man would do this to his dog out in public, what would he do to him behind closed doors?

As a group, we have collectively agreed to create this petition to have this dog removed and rehomed. We can judge the heart of a man by how he treats animals. They feel pain just like us! It's their pain and our voices!

Please help us gain the attention of local leaders and lawmakers with a clear message: No pet should be returned to a person who has been charged with animal cruelty.

Please do your part and sign.
