We the undersigned residents of Clark County, petition the Board of County Commissioners and the Department of Public Works to immediately increase the height of the safety barriers on the Desert Inn Road bridge over I-15. The recent fatality on March 14, 2026, where a motorcyclist was thrown over the bridge railing, is a clear indicator that the current infrastructure does not meet the safety needs of our community. No accident should result in a 30-foot fall onto a major interstate due to inadequate railing height. Our Demands: The immediate installation of higher, crash-rated safety barriers or fencing on the Desert Inn Road overpass. A comprehensive safety review of all arterial bridges in the Las Vegas Valley to ensure they meet modern safety standards. By signing this petition, we demand that Clark County prioritize human life over the status quo of our bridge infrastructure.
