New Petition Opposed to Rail Trail Seeking Your Support -Urgent Attention

A few days ago I sent an update with the above heading.

It is very important that you sign and support this new petition urgently as the Armidale Regional council plans to bring various reports about the proposed rail trail from Armidale to Ben Lomond -being compiled with 2 million of your money- to a council meeting and get councillors' approval to proceed with the rail trail application to be submitted to NSW government.
There is no guarentee that the new application will be approved by the relevant minister once it is submitted by the Armidale Council(Council's earlier applications for the same project failed to gain government support. In fact in 2024 5.4m grant was withdrawn by the funding agency). Nonetheless, we need to express our views clear to the council and minister in no uncertain terms. This petition is one way to do so.
