Meet Documentary Film Maker, on  wday 22nd July at 3.00pm in Armidale City Bowling Club. Following is her call for stories:

Call for Stories – The Great Northern Railway Documentary

We are producing a documentary exploring the history and future of the Great Northern Railway (The New England Railway Line) passing through the communities and historic railway stations of Armidale, Dumaresq, Black Mountain, Guyra, Llangothlin, Ben Lomond, Glencoe, Glen Innes, Deepwater and Tenterfield.

The project will document the railway’s history and the current discussion surrounding its future, including the options of restoring railway services, developing a rail trail, combining both options, or continuing to preserve the corridor as it is.

We are seeking stories, photographs, videos, archival material, interview participants and community perspectives from residents, business owners, historians, former railway workers and anyone with a connection to the line. If you are in support of reopening the railway, in support of the rail trail, or a combination of both or neither, we would like to hear your perspective!
