Proposed Preliminary Works for the Rail Trail by Armidale Regional Council/Public Works.
Why not Rail plus Trail or altenative ways of building it?
Why did the council spend $500,000 rate payers money for this work when this was not included in the community discussions about the 50% rate rise a couple of years ago?
Why can't the Mayor have a frank discussion with all stakeholders who want to use the rail corridor for business, industy or heritage trains?
Isn't it better that we all come togethe and find common ground to seek better transport investment?
Has ARC made a submission to the New England-Northwest Regional Transport planning (SRITP) process? If yes, why is it being kept secret? If not why?
Aren't there other more pressing projects that the council needs to prioitise and spend its resources wisely?
Meeting of train supporters at 5.30pm today at 295 Rusden Street, Armidale to discuss all this.
