Council elections are due on 14th September.  Pre-polling starts on 7th September.

Electoral commission finalised nominations last week.  For the Armidale Regional Council there are 6 groups standing.

This is an excellent opportunity for you to familiarise with groups and individual candidates who support the re-opening of railway line north of Armidale for train services.

I plan to introduce them one by one in coming days/weeks.

Whether the new Armidale Regional Council will advocate for the reactivation of train services north of Armidale depends on who get elected to the council. Carefully study the platforms that each group or candidate is using to seek your vote.  We do not want to waste another council term in pursuing a fail trail dream.  We want our rail services back.
