Transport NSW is preoccupied with roads repair and construction in regional NSW. The model adopted by Transport NSW is PPP model.i.e. Private public partnership. This way the govt does not have to soend the full bill for any infrastructure or transport project. It is more or less a supervisory body. Until the last state election Transport NSW was exploring how the bus services can be enhanced? Labor and Greens policy also emphasised this. But the main problem in regional NSW is that there is not apetitie in the NSW government for regional rail renewal -unlike in Victoria or Queensland. It is the only way that can trigger more population,business and housing growth in regional NSW.
