Why is Wheel's bottom soiled? If it is urine, Vet bedding is needed to prevent urine scald. If this bunny has soft stools or diarrhea, there is a reason and he can go downhill fast. http://www.bio.miami.edu/hare/poop.html Sadly Overlook Acres has ignored offers of help from experienced caregivers of Special Needs rabbits and the farm is now seen giving the baby a bubble bath which can result in life threatening conditions. https://www.facebook.com/OverlookAcres/posts/1704878943090473 "Baths are dangerous for rabbits, and sometimes even fatal. Wet fur can lead to hypothermia or a respiratory infection; hot water or blow-dryers can scald their skin. Water in their ears can lead to ear infections. Damp fur can lead to parasitic infestations like fly-strike. Even worse, baths are highly stressful. Rabbits are very delicate creatures — though they would never admit it — and the shock and stress of being bathed can actually kill them by triggering fatal gastrointestinal stasis or even a heart attack". https://www.thedodo.com/never-give-rabbit-bath-1259570028.html Special needs rabbits/bunnies need Vet bedding to keep them dry and urine scald free, toxic free ointments and safe shampoo are needed for spot cleaning. Not certain why the bunny is being bathed in what is described as a bubble bath. Sadly it is not known if the bunny has frostbite on the lower body or legs, what the actual injury is or if more damage has been done. Offers of help or education for baby Wheels from the Rabbit Community remain open, as does permanent placement with other special needs bunnies where Wheels would receive proper Vet care and have a bonded friendship with another bunny for the remainder of his life. As time passes, concern for baby Wheels well being follows. Stories appear to be changing with every new post.
