Jamshedpur is the most populous Urban Agglomeration in Jharkhand.

Jamshedpur Urban Area is the third Largest city in Eastern India after Kolkata and Patna.

It has been predicted as the 84th fastest growing city in the world for the timeframe 2006–2020 with average annual growth of 2.59%

Jamshedpur was chosen to be one of the six cities to participate in the UN Global Compact Cities pilot programme. The only one from South Asia.

It houses Educational Institutes like XLRI , MGM Medical College and NIT.

Despite of all the above factors the city does not have its own Domestic Airport , causing discomfort to millions of people living away from their hometown while travelling.

A hearty request from all the citizens of Jamshedpur to Respected Prime Minister of India Mr. Narendra Modi and Respected CM of Jharkhand , Mr. Raghubar Das , to take this as a priority project and ensure completion at the earliest.
