Support Racine Courts Cooperative Residents
The Issue
Racine Courts would like a rent increase of $25.00 per unit for 160 units (give or take a few) starting April 1, 2018. The majority of residence are on fixed incomes or wages are below or at the poverty line. This is not the only increase for these households the majority has also received a letter(s) for a increase on Health Insurance, Life Insurance, Car Insurance, etc...and we also have to keep up the maintenance of the unit in which we reside, the Cooperation charges for any work being done. An increase will have a great impact on a family of 4 or a family on a fixed income. $25.00 in our pockets would make a great difference when it comes to providing basics to sustain a normal life. The Board of Directors of Racine Courts Cooperative can make the decision that will help the people in this community.
Please support: "No Rent Increase for Racine Courts Cooperative" by signing the petition attached. Progress will be provided on a daily basis, as well as the outcome.
Thank you in advance, from the residents of Racine Courts Cooperative.
