Hard to believe this was just 2023 — our vow renewal, a day filled with hope and second chances. It should have been 2020, after Rachel’s surgery and chemotherapy for Grade 2 breast cancer, but Covid delayed it.

By 2024, the cancer had returned. Despite everything she went through, there was still no joined-up review process that could have spotted her recurrence sooner — even after she was diagnosed with a hereditary condition.
