Brant Varney was forced to plead guilty
PART 1
Brant met Racheal Rivers when he was 18 years old. He was selling drugs to her and her baby daddy, Lee Dean, at the time. Brant was dating a girl named Nikki when Lee Dean came to his house at 5 o’clock in the morning, went into Nikki’s unlocked car, stole checks, wrote one out, and cashed it at the gas station where her parents’ roofing company fueled up their vehicles. Nikki’s parents blamed Brant, gave her an ultimatum, and she left him for the money. That was Brant’s biggest regret.
Brant caught warrants and went on the run, staying in hotel rooms. Racheal started meeting him there. At first it was just sex and getting high, nothing serious. Brant later found out she had kids she was leaving with her mama all the time. When she talked about giving her kids away, it hit Brant hard and locked him into the situation.
Brant went to prison, got out, and Racheal called him saying Lee Dean was threatening to smash the kids’ heads in with a hammer. Brant tracked Lee Dean down at a hotel parking lot where he was sitting in a car with a bunch of his homeboys. Brant walked up, busted out the driver’s side window, and said “Remember me?” All of Lee Dean’s homeboys jumped out and ran. Lee Dean looked at him with frightened eyes, threw the car in reverse, and peeled out. Lee Dean later robbed a place and went to prison for ten years.
After that, the kids started calling Brant “daddy.” He didn’t agree with them calling him daddy, but he didn’t have the heart to tell them no. That Christmas the kids had nothing at all. Brant went to Kmart on Western Boulevard, filled out a credit card application, got a $500 limit, and spent it all on their Christmas presents.
Racheal’s family was extremely fucked up. Her dad was a raging drunk, heroin addict, and crackhead who tried to fight Brant every time he saw him and looked at Racheal like a piece of meat. There was talk of molestation throughout the family. Her mama was weird, constantly saying “Thank you Jesus,” and couldn’t stand Racheal. She would call Brant’s mama thanking her for Brant being in their lives.
Brant and his mother were the only people who ever did anything for those kids their whole lives — school supplies, holidays, birthdays, everything. Racheal never worked the entire time they were together.
Racheal would force the kids to stay locked in their room while she smoked crack and gave Brant oral sex right next door. Brant had to force her to let the kids go outside and be kids. Racheal would also sit with the kids and their teenage friends and tell them graphic details about her sex life with Brant.
Brant caught Racheal doing witchcraft multiple times — once with a wiener dog boiling in a cauldron, and later with witchcraft boards and stones in his mama’s house.
Racheal’s parents used their kids as guinea pigs for medical trials to get drug money when she was little. She got the real drug, developed strep throat, and her parents neglected it so long that it caused a rare disease that attacked her kidneys, putting her in end-stage renal failure. Brant stayed by her side through every doctor’s appointment and dialysis.
After her mom died, Racheal carried her mother’s cremated ashes everywhere and mixed them with baby powder for her sexual fetish.

Seven years into the marriage, Brant got locked up for three months. While he was gone, Racheal spent the lot rent money on drugs and they lost the trailer. Brant told her to take the kids and go stay at his mama’s house.
While Brant was locked up, Lee Dean got out of prison. Racheal snuck him through the bedroom window at Brant’s mama’s house and had sex with him in the bed Brant grew up in, with the kids in the next room. She forced the kids to keep it a secret for seven years.
The kids started calling Racheal “Monster.” She drank like a fish, raged all night, put holes in walls, and stole Brant’s mama’s liquor. The kids got no sleep and had to be at the bus stop early in the morning. The school made a special morning class just so they could sleep. Brant was the one constantly fighting at the school for Breonna to pass every year.
Brant started having spells — his vision would go black and white, he’d get hot and cold sweats, lose control of his limbs, and collapse. He later found dozens of empty blood pressure pill cases hidden behind the headboard on Racheal’s side of the bed. She had been poisoning him for years.
One night Brant collapsed in the kitchen from one of these spells. He woke up multiple times over six days, half in and half out of the bathtub, fully naked, in horrible pain with gray sludge all over him and the tub. During that time, Racheal performed some type of satanic ritual on him.
After the six days, the kids couldn’t keep the secret anymore and tried to force Racheal to tell Brant the truth about Lee Dean. Brant overheard them yelling at her in the backyard. When Racheal turned around and saw him, she knew she had just exposed herself.
That same night, Racheal was on top of Raelee beating her down in the gravel driveway. Brant tried to pull her off but couldn’t, so he sprayed her with the water hose. When he helped Raelee up and turned around, Racheal hit him in the right bicep with a dull hatchet, exploding his bicep. Brant went to jail that night for spraying her. Racheal did not go to jail.
After Brant and Racheal separated, both daughters and their friends constantly tried to come onto him. He eventually moved out to Morrisville to live with Angela to get away from the situation. He continued paying all the bills and told the girls they could stay in the house as long as they went to school and finished. After 11 years of fighting to get Breonna through school, she wanted to move a boy in and drop out. Brant refused. Breonna got mad, moved out, and went to live with her mother. Raelee, who excelled in school, stayed and continued her education.
About four years after separating from Racheal, Brant got into a fight with Angela because she wanted him to sell the house. He came back to the house in Raleigh. His mother was there after fighting with his father. That night, while everyone was drinking and emotional, Brant and Raelee had sex. She was barely of age, but of age. The next morning Brant told her it could never happen again.

Racheal started calling CPS anonymously. CPS became heavily involved, made Brant’s mother the placement parent, and wouldn’t allow Raelee to be alone with the kids because of her drug use.
Brant caught Raelee having sex with her 350 to 400-pound Black manager in the bathroom at Hardee’s. He packed all her shit, smacked her in the face, put her out, and ended it. From that point on, she did everything she could to keep Brant’s daughters away from him.
CPS couldn’t do anything about the age difference because it wasn’t illegal. So they kept digging and discovered that Brant was still legally married to Racheal. After doing the math, they determined that Harley was conceived a month and a half before the divorce was filed — a divorce that had been filed five years earlier but wasn’t finalized until a month and a half after Harley was conceived. They charged Brant.
Because Raelee was angry about getting caught cheating, she moved back in with her mother. Racheal, Brianna, and Raelee all teamed up against Brant. They had Brianna lied to investigators and make false statements against him while he was locked up.
While Brant was in jail, Raelee sold the children to foster parents and was compensated for giving them up. She also abandoned their dog in the house for weeks with another man she was sleeping with, letting the dogs starve and destroy the home until animal control was called. Brant’s 76-year-old mother began coming over every day to care for the dogs. She tripped over a stump, fell, and hit her head on the dog house. She walked around in pain for a month before going to the hospital, where doctors found she had a broken neck.
When Brant went to court, the only thing he was actually guilty of was conceiving a child while the divorce to Racheal was not yet finalized — even though the divorce had been filed five years earlier and wasn’t finalized until a month and a half after Harley was conceived. Brant and Raelee were together over three years they had two kids and were married. However, Racheal had Brianna lie to investigators and in court, adding other false charges against him.
Brant’s lawyer told him that if he went to trial, he would face 359 months in prison. The only way to avoid that was to take a plea deal — 25 to 30 months — but he had to plead guilty to all the charges, even the ones he wasn’t guilty of. Since he had already served 21 months, and his mother had broken her hip and was now in the hospital with a broken neck after falling while taking care of the dog Raelee was supposed to be watching, Brant took the plea deal. He was forced to plead guilty to charges he didn’t commit to avoid spending the rest of his life in prison.
Now Racheal, Breonna, and Raelee are all living together in a rinky-dink trailer. The three of them have been vindictive, constantly slandering Brant’s name all over the internet with false accusations and outright lies. They created a petition full of lies about Brant Varney trying to get signatures to bury him.
If anybody reads anything different about Brant and believes it, they’re just as stupid as they say. Do not believe anything Racheal Rivers, Raelee Dean, or Brianna Rivers says about Brant Varney. Brant Varney was a noble, stand-up guy that took care of two kids their whole life by himself that weren’t even his.
