Every year Americans looked forward to the unofficial start of summer when RaceTrac would release their Sodapalooza program. Customers could purchase a refillable cup (filled with coupons) and fill it with fountain or frozen drinks every time they visited RaceTrac throughout the summer.

For many Sodapalooza became an annual family event with special sentimental value. For others it was a daily refreshment reward after a hard day's work. Some planned family vacations and trips to the beach around stops at RaceTrac. The colorfully designed cups soon became a cultural touchpoint.

Without warning, the marketing team at Racetrac determined that Sodapalooza had run its course and would be summarily cancelled. Loyal customers waiting to see 2018's newly designed cups were sorely disappointed as the company simply said "No more Sodapalooza." 

RaceTrac continues to Tweet promises of upcoming promotions "later this summer" but in reality there is only one viable solution...Bring Back Sodapalooza. #bringbacksodapalooza
