Many transgender people on Quora (mostly teens), have been forced to change their name back to their deadname, because using their preffered name 'violates' the real name policy. What Quora fails to realize is that our preffered names are our real names, even if not legally yet. Using our deadnames causes dysphoria and discomfort, and we should be allowed to use whatever name makes us most comfortable.
