BISD district is putting a ban on electronic devices and are not allowing us to have our phones out during classes and Team Team time/Bronco time/ (Literally study hall). Study hall is basically a 30 minute period where we can catch up on work, finish work, do test corrections, etc. But i think there should be a way to meet half ways at least and they should let us be on our phones during study hall as well. NOT EVERYONE HAS TO CATCH UP ON WORK AND DO CORRECTIONS, BRUH!! But this is a petition to go against the Electronic device  policy and to let us continue having our electronic devices throughout the school day. Some people can’t focus without music as well. 

They say if there was ever a school emergency then the parents have to call the front office? I think that’s dumb, because if it’s urgent then obviously they’re trying to contact us immediately. Another example is the policy stating that even if we have an actual school shooting we can’t have our phones out. What?? In those situations you never know what can happen, we are obviously going to want to contact our parents/loved ones just in case anything really does happen. Why would we just sit there in fear while a teacher is telling us we cant have our phones out, the windows are blocked so the shooter wouldn’t even be able to see us and even so we could literally turn down the brightness and turn or ringer off, hello?
