Quezon City Science High School is a Public Special Regional Science High School for the National Capital Region. It is the premier science high school of Quezon City, and is regarded as one of the prestigious sciences triumvirate of the Republic of the Philippines along with the Philippine Science High School and Manila Science High School.

The curriculum in this school include advancements in specialized subjects like Mathematics and Science. In the past, the school offers and sells specialized and accurate textbooks for these subjects for student use aside from the books that were provided by Department of Education, which were primarily for general public high schools. With this, the students were easily aligned with the specialized and major subject requirements.

However, in 2015, this was put to stop. The students were only provided with DepEd books alone that were not enough to fulfil the specialized subject requirements. From then on, teachers and students had difficulty looking for immediate and accurate sources per subject. The teachers even had to do their own research to provide advanced information for the students. As for the students, they had difficulty studying in advance because they had no immediate and reliable reference. Due to this, the students feel like as if they were general public high school students rather than science high school student.

As a student of QCSHS, I would like the school to offer advanced and reliable books again. This will greatly help us students to efficiently cope up with our specialized subjects and for us to feel the prestigiousness of our school.
