On August 31st David Baker was shot at least a dozen times in his sleep. The cops are saying it’s cause he had a gun but even if that was the case he was sleeping, startled awake by the cops and shot over and over again through his car. The cops have not apologized or even came forward about which officers did it. We would like the officers who are responsible to come forward and be held accountable and charged with manslaughter for their actions. David was a loving father and wonderful boyfriend and a friend to all those he encountered. He was loved by many and was always there for everyone who needed him. He was a gentle soul and many referred to him as “stretch” because of that mixed with how tall he is. We all miss him so much and we want justice. The police can not continue to get away with this violence without being held accountable. David is just one of many killed without the police stepping up and taking responsibility for their actions. David was a grandson, a son, a father, a brother, a cousin, he was a friend and a loved one. The police didn’t see that, they not only took his life they left a lot of broken hearts, to shoot once or twice could be a mistake to shoot over a dozen times is murder. You will be missed David, we all love you so much.
