I would like to make some points here on what needs to happen. 1. Mental health is not just depression mental health also covers narcistic behaviours and Bi Polar and also personality disorders. So what I want to see happen is that their are more trained professionals trained in all of these to be able to tell if they are being manipulated by these perpetrators. 2. Get mental health assessments done on perpetrators as soon as they commit these crimes. And again before any chance at bail. 3. Regardless of your mental health u still do your time in prison and get help in there if there's any chance of help. Let the psychiatrist decide that and if they Beleive that they will never change then leave them in prison. 4. Give voices back to the victims. 5. Investigate these prisons and their practices on giving out medication. Making sure they are given on time and correct dosage and constant monitoring. 6. Also have a mental health assessment done as soon as a dvo is handed out so it can be used as evidence to also help determine the risk factor. I do Beleive that everyone that commits a vicious attack on someone they love has some kind of condition and by determining what that is will save lives and help facilitate action. More monitoring needs to occur and victims Beleived so they are not scared into dropping dvo. Or not Beleive when a breach occurs. Come on Anastasia what is a life worth. What is it going to take before u come to realise that change needs to happen with this broken system. And if your worry is that their are to many people going to claim mental health is what caused them to do this then make it that they still have to do the time no matter what. U do the crime u do the time. Listen to what victims have to say listen to their stories and how they are being let down who better to tell u what's failing then the victims themselves going through it. Please keep signing and sharing let's get loud and get our voices heard.
