FOLKS - the media article attached demonstrates some disturbing issues.

FIRST OF ALL, the report was obtained after a LENGTHY RIGHT TO INFORMATION REQUEST.... demonstrating yet again that the Queensland Police Service does not like to air its dirty linen in public. It NEVER has. It is very clear that we do not have a transparent, and thus truly accountable Police Service.

The other issue is that while you can 'redesign', 'dismantle', or 'repurpose' all you like, you WON'T CHANGE ANYTHING UNLESS YOU GET RID OF AN INGRAINED CULTURE that encompasses cover ups, racism, sexism, among just a small sample of undesirable 'attitudes'. The fact that this media house had to fight to get hold of this report DEMONSTRATES a culture of cover ups that goes all the way to the top!

THE ONLY WAY FOWARD IS TO DEMAND CIVILIAN OVERSIGHT FOLKS. A CIVILIAN COMMITEE WITH THE POWER TO FREELY PUBLISH ISSUES = A COMMITTEE FREE TO REFER POLICE OFFICERS FOR PROSECUTION.
