SO OUR COMMISSIONER IS ONLY CONCERNED ABOUT DEFAMATION OF OFFICERS?

FOLKS - Back in July a group on Facebook of several thousand Police Officers - mostly from Queensland Police were caught out posting racist and homophobic posts among other disgusting behaviour.

The thing the Police Commissioner was most concerned about? Here is what she said: "Police commissioner Katarina Carroll says she has seen ‘defamatory’ posts about officers and MPs that ‘beggars belief’"

We are now in October and the public has HEARD ABSOLUTELY NOTHING REGARDING ANY CONSEQUENCES FOR THE OFFICERS INVOLVED.

They closed down the group - so the evidence has gone, and this I believe is YET ANOTHER EXAMPLE OF HOW QPS DOES BUSINESS.

Yes that's right, ride out the negative media article, and hope it slides into obscurity so that the public forgets about it and there is no need for any transparency or accountability what so ever.

What is really concerning is the Commissioner's focus on DEFAMATION OF POLICE OFFICERS AND MP'S! The THIN BLUE LINE OF SILENCE OPERATING AT THE HIGHEST LEVEL... Don't dare say anything about another Police Officer, particularly senior officers, or we will get you!

THERE IS MORE NEED NOW THAN EVER FOR REAL ACCOUNTABILITY AND TRANSPARENCY FOLKS - WE DESPERATELY NEED CIVILIAN OVERSIGHT.
