Covid-19 is a global crisis. Prayer is the first and most effective spiritual action for those of faith. Her Majesty the Queen is head of The Church of England and as such should be leading us to prayer,... of course accepting that faiths will be different (Islam, Judaism, Quaker, Hinduism, Buddhism, Spiritualism and all others I apologise I haven’t written here).

King George VI called a ‘national day of prayer’ on 24th May 1940 during WWII when 200,000 British troops were stuck in Europe facing almost certain death. The miracles that resulted in this simple, small action were three-fold: Hitler inexplicably stopped advancing his troops for 3 days, an unprecedented storm grounded German squadrons, and a great calm came across the English Channel. As a result scores of vessels crossed the Channel, rescued and brought back 335,000 allied troops. 335,000 saved from almost certain death.

Please, Your Majesty the Queen may you lead our country in a ‘National day of prayer’ in these unprecedented times?
