Students’ health are involved, and we do not want to suffer from diseases, ruin our study schedules and delay the graduation no matter it is fatal or not.
Since the start of Coronavirus, effective and meticulous measures to control international migration have not been taken across the borders. As Coronavirus is becoming rampant in the Europe, it is time to take actions! We students, who are living in the U.K. with more than 40 airports open and in London with the busiest and poor-ventilation underground being the cradle of the virus, are not willing to see London suffering from the virus, especially when the reading week is going to finish and there are high chances that many students are travelling back from the infected areas !

We students from Queen Mary having a campus for 16,000 students want to stay away from the virus sources and stay on track of our studies, therefore we recommend the below actions:

The solution is simple and easy to achieve.

  1. Collect the destination information of students during reading week and pay close attention to monitor the health condition of the students who travelled outside the U.K. while advising them to conduct self-isolation from the crowd by at least 14 days.
  2. Give lectures and seminar based on the original schedule through on-line platform and stop all the off-line gathering during these weeks. Instead, all the forms of events, studies and activities can be alternatively proceeded on-line.
  3. Advocate fully detailed process of keeping hygiene. No touching eyes, noses and mouths, washing or sanitising hands every 20minutes and wearing masks when inevitably needed to go to crowded places. Particularly, if wearing masks are recommended properly, racism, unfair treatment and violence would be effectively diminished accordingly.

Let us make joint efforts to familiar the transform during this special period. Fight against the virus while keeping everything on track!
